What to Expect When You Book a Mobile Dessert Bar
Booking a mobile dessert bar is a little different from hiring a traditional caterer. There's no set menu to pick from, no fixed package that fits every event the same way. At Blue Bird, every event is built together with you — which means the process is collaborative from the very first message.
Here's what to expect when you reach out.
Step 1: The Inquiry
It starts with a quick inquiry — just the basics: your event date, approximate guest count, and what you're envisioning. You don't need to have everything figured out yet. The inquiry just opens the conversation.
We'll follow up within a couple of business days to confirm availability and set up a consultation.
Step 2: The Consultation
This is the fun part. We'll talk through your event — the vibe, the venue, dietary needs for your guests, and what kind of dessert and espresso experience you're imagining. From there, we'll sketch out a custom menu and package that fits.
No two events look the same. A backyard garden party calls for something different than a corporate dinner for 200.
Step 3: Booking & the Deposit
Once you're happy with the proposal, a $300 deposit secures your date. We book on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you have a date in mind, sooner is better — especially for peak wedding season (May through October).
Step 4: The Final Details
About two to three weeks before your event, we'll circle back to confirm logistics: arrival time, setup location, power access, and any last menu tweaks. By this point, most of the heavy lifting is done — you can focus on everything else.
Step 5: The Day Of
We arrive with enough time to set up before your guests do. The camper or Perch cart gets positioned, the espresso bar is prepped, desserts are arranged, and we're ready to go when you are. Our team handles everything — you won't need to worry about a thing.
After the event, we break everything down and leave the space the way we found it.
